The Private Pilot Licence (PPL) programme at Meritus College offers a distinguished pathway for aspiring aviators to enter the world of aviation. This rigorous programme develops essential foundational skills, empowering students to confidently operate single-engine piston aircraft.
Emphasising immersive, hands-on training, it includes a minimum of 45 flight hours covering core manoeuvring and navigation competencies.
Delivered in strict adherence to Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) standards, the full-time programme is completed in approximately 15 weeks.
Upon graduation, students are certified to pilot single-engine aircraft during daylight hours and in good weather conditions. Beyond technical proficiency, the PPL serves as a strategic stepping stone to advanced aviation training, equipping graduates with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to progress in a competitive and high-stakes industry.
The Abridged Aviation Course is a strategically designed pathway for individuals seeking to transfer their flight training to HMA from another Approved Training Organisation (ATO/FTO), ensuring a seamless and professionally managed transition. It also accommodates foreign Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) holders who intend to obtain a Malaysian CPL issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).
Structured with precision and regulatory alignment, the programme recognises prior training and experience, enabling candidates to bridge gaps efficiently while meeting Malaysian aviation standards. It provides a focused and accelerated route for experienced trainees and certified pilots to advance their qualifications.
