(N/1022/4/0045) (07/2029) / (MQA/PA17321) (05/2029)
The Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health at Meritus University trains the professionals every organisation — in every country — is required to have. Grounded in occupational safety and health legislation and aligned with internationally recognised standards and practice, it builds competency in risk assessment, industrial hygiene, fire safety, ergonomics, incident investigation and environmental management.
Learning is deliberately hands-on: case studies, simulations and practical field sessions at the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), plus a 12-credit Industrial Training placement, mean graduates finish with real workplace experience already on their record — not just a transcript.
It is also one of the most secure career choices a student can make. Safety roles are legally mandated across construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, logistics and services worldwide — giving graduates rare job security in any economy, anywhere. Graduates step into roles as safety and health officers, OSH coordinators and risk executives, or progress with advanced standing into a relevant Meritus bachelor's degree.
