17.35%increase in vessel traffic in the Straits of Malacca 2009–2016
6.1%average annual growth in Malaysian total trade value (2009–2016)

Key industry challenges — including the abolishment of the Cabotage Policy, Belt and Road Initiatives and port competition from neighbouring countries — require professionals with both theoretical depth and operational expertise. This programme delivers precisely that, drawing on both academicians and industry practitioners.

Why This Programme Stands Out

  • Combines academic theory with industry practitioner input
  • Addresses current challenges: Belt & Road, Cabotage policy, port competition
  • Covers strategic, tactical and operational dimensions of shipping
  • Directly aligned with Malaysia's maritime trade corridor advantage
